Is it a bird? is it a plane? No! that small flying toy above your house is actually an aerial hacker, pinging your network for any number of reasons. This tiny little drone called ‘SkyNET’ developed at the Stevens Institute of Technology allows the infiltration of nearly any network it picks up for use in botnets.
That one can create a drone like this themselves for only around $600 may be scary, but also amazing how far wireless and drone technology has come in so short a time, It is my hope that in a few short years, we can a plethora of consumer grade drones for use in a variety of tasks for very little cost.
